This weekend, T.R.A.D Worm Industries is opening its doors for Alberta Open Farm Days and you’re invited! From 10 AM Saturday, August 16th to 5 PM Sunday, August 17th, join us for a free, hands-on experience that will change the way you think about waste, soil, and sustainability.
From Scraps to Soil
Vermicomposting is the natural process of using red wiggler worms to transform kitchen and garden scraps into nutrient-rich worm castings. These castings are full of beneficial microbes and slow-release nutrients, creating healthier soil that holds moisture longer and supports stronger plant growth.
At our farm, you’ll see how everyday items like vegetable peels, coffee grounds, eggshells, and garden trimmings can be turned into “black gold” for your garden — all without chemicals or synthetic fertilizers.
